Characteristics
of Conduction mode weld: |
|
PVDF
and fluorinated polymer coating are very difficult
coating to remove with abrasive wheels, blast
or water jet. The HPDDL-4000W has the ability
to operate in a pulsed mode which is ideal for
ablating these PTFE and PVDF coatings from surfaces
without effecting base material. |
| |
-
Very little evaporation of material
-
Very quiet process, little or no spatter in
most cases
-
Very repeatable process
-
Very tolerant of part fit up
-
Significantly smaller nugget than TIG or MIG
weld
- Significantly
smaller Heat Affected Zone (HAZ) than TIG
or MIG weld
- 50%
- 200% faster than TIG or MIG depending on
thickness

Laser
Brazing - Silicon Bronze |
|
Like
wire feed welding the ISL product line is an
excellent heat source for SiB brazing. In addition
to the benefits listed above. For Body-n-White
brazing the ISL-4000L is an excellent source
for creating braze joints that do not need rework
after brazing. The long beam wets out the weld. |
